Win a wedding with 92.9’s Em and Wippa. Only lesbians need apply

Due to recent media hype stemming from L.A. with Portia and Ellen tying the knot and DJ Sam Ronson and Lindsay “Lilo” Lohan announcing their engagement, and locally with Lord Mayor Lisa Scaffidi announcing she believes Perth should rival San Francisco and Sydney and become a centre for gay people, Em and Wippa have decided to plan their own commitment ceremony giving a Perth couple the chance to show their love and devotion to one another during an all expenses paid “wedding”.

Held at The Court Hotel on October 10, Em and Wippa will be putting on an extravagant morning with both brides walking down the aisle, capturing it all on air from 6am – 9am.

During an interview with Em and Wippa Premier Colin Barnett said that whilst he believes that marriage should be union between a male and a female, he strongly feels that gay people deserve the same respect as heterosexuals and said he may even attend the ceremony.

The breakfast duo encouraged lesbian couples to nominate themselves and be in the running to win the wedding. After an enormous response they narrowed the search down to three couples.

Each day this week listeners meet a new couple. They will put their relationship to the test with a lie detector, white witch and relationship expert.

Voting starts Friday and the couple with the most number of votes will be announced Monday morning. From there, the whirlwind of organising the wedding will begin! From dresses to cakes to rings to flowers, Em and Wippa will be capturing every moment.
