World Cup soccer reports… free

Former radioinfo reporter Robbie Keswick is in Brazil for the World Cup soccer and is available to file sports reports for any station that wants them… for free.

The self-confessed soccer tragic has FFA accreditation and has been attending training sessions and press conferences since arriving in Brazil earlier this week. He is willing to do live phone crosses for any station interested in the World Cup and the progress of the Australian Socceroos team.

Robbie filed this report with three things you must know about visiting Brazil during the World Cup.

In conjunction with 2SER’s Pete Tselepi, Robbie is doing a regular podcast from Brazil, which will also be heard, in part, on the community radio network and ABC Grandstand digital.

The podcast, called Balls of Glory, can be heard here. Facebook page here.

In Australia, SBS Radio is mounting live coverage of the soccer World Cup. Details at www.sbs.com.au/radio/article/2014/05/22/world-cup-radio-schedule.

Another radioinfo reader, Michael Lynch, is also in Brazil filing reports on the World Cup. He writes:

“I am recording a 60 second report every day here in Brazil. It is great to be able to do what I love on the other side of the world. The reports have a light hearted Australian angle and are quite ‘unique’ you could say. I have a couple of stations that are getting on board and using the updates but would love to spread the word and help as many stations / networks as possible.”
