The World Tour of Country returns

Justin Thomson’s World Tour of Country is returning to the airwaves across WA, SA, VIC and the NT with two hours of modern country music on the Spirit Radio Network and Flow FM, this weekend.

Justin  launched the show in 2015 with the aim to change the mindset that country is boring.

“Country music is a very broad genre, a lot of people don’t understand that, for example we have some amazing country/pop stars coming through. The future of country is bright and I can’t wait to start it up again on Spirit and Flow,” said Justin.

Justin moved from Western Australia and is now based in Queensland as Program/Content Director for the KIX Country Network.

“At KIX we play the hottest country from around the world and I’m in my element being surrounded by all styles of country music, but my mission is to break the stigma that country is old hat, I’m well on the way and it’s an exciting time for the industry,” said Justin.

Network Content Director for Redwave Media, Dan Cole, has welcomed the show back to Western Australia.

“Country music has big following in WA and fans have been starved for a dedicated show for quite sometime. We are really happy to welcome back to Sunday nights on The Spirit Network, Justin Thomson’s World of Country. Justin’s passion and extensive knowledge of country music make this show popularity with even the smallest fans of the genre,” said Dan.

Justin Thomson’s World Tour of Country begins across WA on the Spirit Radio Network this Sunday,  June 19 from 6pm, and Flow FM in SA, VIC and the NT this Saturday afternoon from 1pm.
