ARN’s iHeart and Magellan AI have released the top 15 brands advertising on Australian podcasts for Q1 2025, with Shopify No 1 and advertising growth throughout the quarter.
Growth was in the genres of Comedy, Society & Culture, Business, TV & Film, History and True Crime from this time last year. Shopify invested in local shows like Dyl & Friends, How I Work, Outspoken, 7am and On-Demand radio podcasts from Nine, Nova and ARN.
Q4 2024 had Airbnb, McDonald’s and Teledoc Health the top three, with all still in the 15. I had to do a little research into some unfamiliar brands on this list. Entain Group is what sports betting and gaming company GVC Australia (No 7 last time) have been renamed as. Geely is a Chinese electric car brand and Vanta is software that looks after a business’s security and compliance (it is also an Australian range of men’s underwear, but I somehow think that is not the one on this list).
Outside the three Australian banks Westpac, CommBank and NAB, all others are overseas companies.
The Top 15 advertisers for Q1 2025 are:
- Shopify
- Teladoc Health
- Entain Group
- Westpac
- Wise
- Airbnb
- Squarespace
- Geely
- Vanta
- McDonald’s
- CommBank
- Be Good Health
- American Express
- Specsavers
- NAB
