MediaWorks the Official Media Partner for Fieldays 2026

MediaWorks is the official Media Partner for Fieldays 2026, which will take place from June 10-13 at Mystery Creek Events Centre. The partnership will deliver one of the largest digital and on-site media footprints at Fieldays to date, activating at least nine audio brands across radio, digital, streaming and outdoor platforms.

This is Fieldays 58th year connecting rural, regional, urban NZ to spotlight the innovation shaping the future of Aotearoa’s primary industries.  MediaWorks’ multi-platform reach will strengthen how Fieldays tells its story; not just as a four-day event, but as a year-round platform for innovation and progress. More than 1,100 exhibitor sites are already secured four months out. For visitors, Fieldays will feel bigger through MediaWorks brands. Expect more competitions, giveaways, live broadcasts and real-time coverage – all adding to the buzz and making it easier to engage with what’s happening on site and beyond.

Wendy Palmer, CEO, MediaWorks, said:

“Fieldays is an iconic event that celebrates the innovation, resilience and spirit of regional New Zealand. We’re proud to come on board as Media Partner and leverage our extensive regional reach through locally focused radio stations to support the continued growth of New Zealand’s primary sector.”

Richard Lindroos, Chief Executive of the New Zealand National Fieldays Society, said:

“This partnership supports our long-term focus on connecting people, ideas and opportunity. MediaWorks reach will help extend the Fieldays story beyond the event, while strengthening the value delivered to exhibitors and visitors.”

“Rural New Zealand is the beating heart of our country, and as a company deeply connected to local communities through our locally produced radio shows, we’re thrilled to partner with Fieldays to help connect audiences and clients with this prestigious event,” added Nick Fisher, Head of Rural, MediaWorks.

MediaWorks will showcase its radio stations and brands The Rock, GeorgeFM, The REX Daily Podcast, More FM, Mai FM, Channel X, The Edge, rova and The Sound, through appearances, on-site engagement, experiences and giveaways celebrating the rural sector.

This partnership is another step in MediaWorks’ commitment to connecting with communities across Aotearoa.

QMS Media, who were the parent company of Mediaworks, was sold to Nine Entertainment (subscription required) in January, at the same time as they offloaded their Australian radio stations. MediaWorks split off from QMS last year and was not part of the Nine deal. It remains under another Australian organisation Quadrant Private Equity’s ownership, with Barclay Nettlefold the chair.
