Politicians ignore Arabic Radio at their peril

Radio 2Moro, Sawt El Ghad 1620 AM as well as pay tv, has a significant bearing in at least four seats in Sydney according to Tony Ishak Managing Director of World Media International PL.

He says that in the last federal election Craig Laundy, Liberal member for Reid, advertised on both radio and tv for the Arabic market and won the seat from long serving local member John Murphy.

“This time round with the margins being tighter and incumbents facing a very disillusioned electoral base, scared about going back to Labor, however, not knowing where the Liberal Coalition is heading – I would think that the seats of Parramatta, Reid, Banks, Bennelong and Watson may all be involved in a game of musical chairs if the right messages are put through specific media outlets,” says Mr Ishak.
