Recently Ms Lynch, who is a mum to two boys, joined the ranks of real estate agency LJ Hooker, in its Coolangatta-Tweed office, with the foray into a new profession marking her return to full-time work.

10 September 2021 On Monday The Australian published a story by media writer Sophie Elsworth under the headline “ABC discusses News Corp and Murdoch 1700 times in just 30 days.” However, when ABC journalist Jamie Travers obtained the raw media monitoring data from the IPA, it showed a very different story to Elsworth’s. There were nowhere near 1700 unique relevant mentions of “News Corp” or “Murdoch” on ABC platforms during the 30 days. In fact, the real number was probably less than 10% of that figure.

Peter Williams to retire from Magic Talk radio

7 September 2021 Veteran NZ broadcaster Peter Williams is to retire from Magic Talk radio. The 67-year-old Magic Talk Mornings host has stepped down, saying he wants to “enjoy a life with fewer commitments”.Williams started out in broadcasting at Radio Otago, now More FM, in Dunedin in 1972. He was hired by TVNZ in 1979, and went on to commentate and report for a number of years before joining the 1 News team full-time as Breakfast newsreader.

6 September 2021 The radio network backed by talent manager and industry veteran Glenn Wheatley is looking for a buyer for its two Queensland stations, a deal which could mark an end of an era for a company name with a 41-year history. Industry sources familiar with the plans, who spoke anonymously because talks are confidential, said Mr Wheatley and Oceania Partners are preparing to commence a formal process to sell the two radio stations – 91.9 Sea FM and 92.7 Mix FM – on the Sunshine Coast.
