6 November 2021 Amazon is disconnecting Alexa from email accounts and ending the voice assistant’s ability to read emails out loud, according to a note sent to Alexa users. The feature will shutter next week... The company didn’t give a reason for the retraction, which stands out amidst a deluge of new Alexa options and abilities. It may have been a matter of resources for a feature that isn’t used much, or perhaps it raised privacy questions the company didn’t want to be an issue.
3 November 2021 A Texas radio host was sentenced to three life prison sentences Monday for a Ponzi scheme in which he bilked elderly listeners out of millions of dollars. William Neil “Doc” Gallagher also got a 30-year prison sentence from state District Judge Elizabeth Beach for his August guilty pleas. The sentences are to be served concurrently.

30 October 2021 Spotify reports their third quarter financial performance, showing them holding their place as the number one audio network in the world. As with previous quarters, Q3 2021 has seen growing users and paying subscribers on Spotify, with a monthly active user and subscriber year-over-year increase of 19% compared to Q3 2020. Monthly active users are the total number of Spotify Free and Premium users, while subscribers are Premium users. Spotify have 209 million active Free users and 172 million paying Premium users.
