2MBS Fine Music Sydney appoints Ray Kington as Station Manager

After 15 years at Hope 103.2, Ray Kington swaps the studio for an office in his new role as Station Manager at Fine Music Sydney.

He leaves Hope 103.2 as their longest serving Drive presenter.

Kington, a former International Pro Tennis Chair Umpire, has held a number of positions including Station Manager, Program Director, Creative Director and Promotions Director throughout his 23-year broadcast career at stations such as 4VL Charleville, Sun FM QLD, 2AY Albury and 2CH Sydney.

Fine Music Chairman Michael Morton-Evans OAM said he was excited about Kington joining the Fine Music family, “we are absolutely delighted to welcome Ray Kington as our new Station Manager. Ray brings a lifetime’s wealth of knowledge of radio to Fine Music, and he will be a most valuable addition to our small paid workforce.”

Kington is equally as thrilled adding, “as a listener of Fine Music Sydney for many years and enjoying the excellent broadcasts created by the dedicated team of volunteers…there is no doubt that Fine Music Sydney is leading the way across the country, and I know that I join the society at a very exciting time, I am proud to be part of this exceptional history.”
