ABC 774 sings in the rain at Arts Festival

Listeners will be able to kick up theirr heels with 774 ABC Melbourne at the 2003 Melbourne International Arts Festival.

Throughout the 17 days and nights of the festival, 774 ABC Melbourne will keep listeners informed of what’s happening where and when. Central to the lives of the local community and very much a part of Melbourne’s vibrant arts culture, 774 will provide comprehensive coverage of festival events including reviews and interviews with performers, curators and organisers.

Leading the way is 774 ABC Melbourne’s arts reporter and Sunday Show presenter, Peter Clarke. In addition to his weekly ‘Sunday Show’ at 10am, Clarke will present in-depth news and reviews during breakfast with Red Symons each weekday.

774 ABC Melbourne is associated with many key events during the
Festival.

‘Singin’ in the Rain’ is the opening night event. Michael Mackenzie will kicks off the Festival with a live broadcast this week where listeners can learn the dance routine that immortalized Gene Kelly, and can watch ‘Singin’ In The Rain’ on the big screen and finish the night at the Dance Hall with the Stacey Big Band.
