Love was in the air at 96.1 Star FM ahead of Valentine’s Day.

Ryan and Jess chose a listener to propose live on-air as part of a promotion they were running called “I wanna marry you” the winner got a memorable proposal and won a $2500 ring.

That lucky winner was Janet who proposed to her partner of 20 years David. 

 “It’s extremely rare that anyone else outside the two parties gets to share in such an intimate moment. Jess and I, and the Star FM listeners were lucky to be a part of an engagement that was 20 years in the making,” said co-host Ryan Warran.
