Nova 93.7 has announced the appointment of Ben Carney to the role of Workday Announcer/Operations Manager for Nova in Perth.

Originally from WA, Ben joins NOVA from Hit Network in Hobart, where he was Workday Announcer and Operations Assistant, while also hosting the Saturday Night Party Playlist across the network.

Ben studied broadcasting at TAFE with one of his first experiences in radio being a tour of Nova 93.7 during his studies.

Ben Carney will report to David McClung, NOVA Entertainment’s Head of Programming for Nova 100, with his new role commencing Monday, 17 October.

McClung has confidence Ben will gel well with listeners. 

“We’re thrilled to have Ben return home to Perth and join the team at Nova 93.7,” said McClung.

“He’s a talented broadcaster and I’m sure he’s going to be a big hit with our listeners when he starts afternoons.”
