From community radio to prime time news, Chris Bath spoke to Triple M’s Grill Team about her departure from Channel 7 after 20 years of presenting.
 
Bath told the trio that after so long in one job, it was time her to try something different.
 
“It’s just the right time for me to do something new. You know what its like as a public figure, you end up talking to a whole range of people and school kids and telling them, sometimes you’ve got a take a calculated risk and sometimes you’ve got to back yourself.”
 
Chris Bath started her career in journalism as a cadet reporter and newsreader at 2UE after years of broadcasting on Charles Sturt University’s community station 2MCE while studying communications.
 
However, when asked if she’d be willing to boot Gus off the Grill Team and make a triumphant return to radio, she seemed understandably hesitant.
 
“Chris you can join the Grill Team. Gus is going down to Melbourne and we might just leave him there.” Matty Johns joked.
