The last radio station you’d expect would shock anyone, let alone shoppers going about their business at the local supermarket, would be one with a classical music format.
But to celebrate the brand’s 20th birthday, Classic FM, put on a flashmob concert at Morrisons in London with 18 musicians and eight vocalists with a rendition of Handel’s Zadok the Priest that didn’t so much shock as wowed.
Those who weren’t instantly transfixed were rolling in the aisles – or at least their trollies were.
