Declan Kelly, Fairfax Media’s General Manager of 6PR and 96fm in Perth is leaving the station after a meeting today with Graham Mott.  Mott has told radioinfo: “Declan Kelly has left company and we wish him well for the future. We will commence our search for a new general manager immediately,” but he would not be drawn on the circumstances of the departure.

Kelly was appointed General Manager in August 2002 and was awarded the ACRA for General Manager of the Year in 2005.

This week’s ratings results saw 6PR lose 0.4 share points to score 8.4%, in sixth place in the market, while 96fm dropped by 0.8 share points to 8.1%, 7th place.

In other issues at the station, 6PR’s breakfast presenters Steve Mills and Tony McManus have recently had a public falling-out and no longer wish to work together.
