Grant Goldman beats cancer

2SM and Super-Network Breakfast host Grant Goldman has beaten bowel cancer.  The 40 year vetran of radio and voice of the Sydney 2000 Olympics has been battling the cancer for the past 4 months.

After having chemotherapy and radiation therapy, Goldman underwent an operation last week and doctors have now given the all clear. The cancer has been taken out and has not spread.

2SM has received flowers and hundreds of cards for the recovering Goldman.

He has told radioinfo: “Now more and more nurses are going to be listening to me, I have noticed that the surgeons like to listen to the ABC and Alan Jones , but the nurses and support staff listen to 2SM and Grant Goldman… I will try and get those surgeons to come over to 2SM.”

Goldman will spend the next few weeks at home recovering and will return to the airwaves on 2SM and the Super-network in about two weeks.  He has urged everyone over 40 to have a colonoscopy and a check up, “because you never know.”
