Jake Lacey is heading back to Far North Queensland to join the team at Star 106.3 & Power 100 as Promotions Manager. After moving to Australia from NZ and NZME, Jake was most recently working with Wave FM in Wollongong where he was involved in on-air weddings, nonstop mini-golf marathons, a country party (pictured below) and riding alongside Lyndal and Crammy in a tuk-tuk through Wollongong for Ride to Work Day.

Jake’s Queensland adventures saw him firstly at Star 102.7 where he accidentally got a little too invested in a big announcement that breakfast host Johnny Wilson had yet to make. Now he’ll work alongside Archie and Donny who switched from Power 100 to Star 106.3 breakfast at the start of March this year.

“I’m stoked to be back in Far North Queensland. 2025 is shaping up to be huge, and I’ve got some big ideas already in motion. Eyes are on the 2026 ACRAs and we’re aiming high.”
