Life FM Adelaide ready for second Op till You Drop Community Market

Life FM is ready to bring together the best-known and most unique community op-shops and vintage resellers across SA for the second Op till You Drop Community Market, allowing shoppers to grab a bargain, support sustainable shopping, and fundraise for local charities as well as as for the listener-funded community radio station.

The concept of the market was born from a desire to bring all corners of the community together to support the financial needs of the charities that help thousands every year, and for Life FM – which prides itself on sharing positive, uplifting content across the airwaves – to facilitate the project.

Cost of living and sustainability pressures on individuals are crucial in 2026. A community market with food, coffee, local music and a kids’ play area including face painting and a Kinder Gym SA installation, plus the largest selection of op-shop vendors and sustainable resellers all in the one undercover location for one day only, is an affordable family day out that Life FM is excited to have ready for Adelaide a second time.

Life FM Operations and Fundraising Manager Lorrene McClymont said:

“Life FM is a community-funded station on a mission to spread hope throughout Adelaide. We’re proud to be involved in a range of community projects and partnerships year-round, including initiatives like Life FM’s Lunchbox Legends and Buddy Blankets campaigns.

Our team is deeply passionate about reaching those who may be struggling, offering encouragement, and providing a fresh, uplifting perspective through everything we do.

The inaugural 2025 Op till You Drop Community Market in June was huge, welcoming around 3,000 community members, despite severe winter weather, and we’re looking forward to another huge day on April 18th, with many of last year’s vendors excited to return. With the rising cost of living and a growing interest in sustainability, recycling, and making every dollar go further, we wanted to create a space that makes thrifting and vintage purchasing more accessible and fun.”

Some of the community op-shops taking part at the heritage-listed Hart’s Mill Flour Shed at Port Adelaide on Saturday 18th April from 10am-3pm include Vinnies, Red Cross, Elcies, Worn Again, Second Chances SA, Treasured Op Shop, Nu4U Op Shop, St Paul’s Anglican Church Op Shop and Henley Op Shop. A handful of second hand and vintage resellers will also be present, including Sought After Seconds, Rebels Relix Wear-Haus and Little Chicken’s Vintage.

Entry to the market is by gold coin.
