Veteran British DJ, Tony Blackburn, has been suspended from his morning radio show for defying a ban on playing Cliff Richard records!

Classic Gold Digital executives have been involved in furious email exchanges all week with Blackburn, saying Richard’s songs do not match their ‘brand values’.

Blackburn, a pioneer of pop music radio in Britain, retaliated by ripping up the warning on air, then playing two Richard tracks back to back.

Within minutes, he was suspended.
