Some powerful radio coming out of Adelaide this week with Mix 102.3 breakfast host Ali Clarke revealing that she doesn’t know her own biological father.

A previous segment on the show had used a private investigator to help two listeners in a similar situation, with one of them, Nicole, being able to track down her father as a result a couple of weeks ago.

Clarke has been told her father has passed away, and she enjoys a very close relationship with her stepfather, who has been a part of her life since she was 3. Part of her trepidation about starting a journey to know him is not for the revelations she may uncover about herself, but for the potential impact on her loved ones.

Yesterday Nicole came back into the studio to praise Ali’s bravery and mention that such a search usually leads to more questions than answers. Today Ali interviewed her mum, the intimacy of which you rarely hear on capital city commercial radio breakfast shows.

Ali plans to continue the search to provide answers about her past and information for her and her own young family’s future.
