After nearly 50 years in Peary St Darwin, plans have commenced for Hot 100 and Mix 104.9 to move closer to the city. Just don’t tell the ghost.
The Peary St location was truly outgrown two years ago when ARN purchased the stations. General Manager Michael Harvey has been with NT Broadcasters a decade and is delighted for the upcoming move to 30 Daly Street with sound proofing a key feature.
Work begins later this year with a hopeful relocation date of mid 2025.
Apparently the hardest thing for staff to let go of is a ghost who lives in the old building. Perhaps as the move is less than 300m away, it can come too.
