Nick Scott returns to Gold Coast Media Centre

Nick Scott will take up the role of Gold Coast General Manager for Southern Cross Austereo from next week.

Nick has told radioinfo: “I’m delighted to once again be leading the first class team on the Gold Coast, all of whom are true professionals, dedicated to the on-going success of 90.9 Sea FM, 92.5 Gold FM, our TV brands Ten, One and 11.”

Nick’s  career in the media industry spans around 35 years. He previously held the same role, Group General Manager at Sea FM and Gold FM, and when he retired from that position three years ago, he continued in a consultancy role, training sales staff for Southern Cross Austereo.

Nick has held several directorships including on the board of Commercial Radio Australia and the Radio Marketing Bureau Committee.

The position became vacant after the resignation of Paul Bartlett last week.

SCA’s Northern Regional General Manager Tim Davenport says: “I’m thrilled to be working with Nick, his great track record coupled with his passion for sales and business is sure to again make him an exciting asset to the Gold Coast team.

“His reputation in the south-east Queensland business community is of the highest order, and he’s kept pace with the massive changes the industry has undertaken in recent years… His media experience is evident and his first-rate leadership skills will be an asset to the whole team. On a personal note, I am very happy to see Nick return home.”
