Nova 97.3’s Nat Locke‘s long sold out, one off comedy show at Perth’s Fringe World was a huge success, with a star line-up and special guest with a personal connection to Nat wrapping up the show.
Nat swapped her breakfast radio hours for a late night of fun, opening the show her discoveries about dating older men, why her friends’ kids have effectively ruined their lives, and some hilarious but painful memories from her farm upbringing, courtesy of her dad’s questionable chores.
Then it was internet comedy master Matt Storer followed by Aussie comedy royalty Pete Rowsthorn who refused to wrap up. Nat had to personally escort him off stage, much to the audience’s delight.
The night’s surprise guest was Wil Anderson, most recently heard on breakfast radio with Triple M Melbourne. Wil gave Nat her very first support slot over 20 years ago. He was the perfect closer, riffing on Sydney’s strangest beach finds, his silent (yet passionate) grudge against Kieren Perkins, and the joys of sober life.
To wrap up, Nat gathered her comedy mates on the stage for a big group hug.
Nathan, Nat & Shaun can be heard from 6am to 9am on Nova 93.7. They have been the No 1 breakfast show in Perth for more than 7 years.
