Nova’s Ben, Liam and Belle back to Adelaide

With the news this week that Nova 919‘s Molly Rose had become the Nova Network Late Drive team of Ben, Liam and Belle‘s EP, then Ben and Liam popping up as guest judges of Fresh 92.7‘s Generation Fresh Competition, Fresh was the Adelaide community station that Ben and Liam first cut their teeth in radio on, is was pretty clear that the trio’s move from Melbourne to Adelaide was complete.

Nothing has changed on air. Ben, Liam and Belle will continue to present the networked Late Drive show from 6-8pm, only from Nova’s Hindmarsh Street studios instead of South Melbourne. It was two months ago that news of the move was announced via a message from outgoing EP Ben McDowell on LinkedIn saying that he had decided to stay in Melbourne.

This is a return home for Ben Harvey and Liam Stapleton after three years in Sydney on triple j where they were first paired with Belle Jackson as their producer, then to Nova 919 briefly, before taking on Melbourne’s Nova 100 breakfast as a trio, before Jase and Lauren arrived last year. The trio rate well, have won ACRAs and are lovely humans who have been very flexible to the needs of their employer. Hoping the closer ties to family networks with Ben now dad to Freddie born in 2023, benefits all concerned.
