Highlights
- All quiet on Eastern Front as stations hold positions
- New leader in Adelaide as Triple M falls by 1.8 and Mix gains 1.6 to grab top spot
- ABC Radio Brisbane steady, ABC Perth rises, other ABC local stations fall
- 2GB up by 1.2 overall, all shifts rise
- 3AW down, with falls in all shifts
- KIIS slips in Sydney, lifts a little in Melbourne
- Renamed Gold 101.7 steady in Sydney
- Triple, J slips back in most markets after Hottest 100 effect wears off
- Brisbane music stations increase except B105
- At Cada, the voice cloned automated announcer Thy’s shift was one of the station’s strongest performers. The shift fell, but is still rating more than breakfast. The shift times range across the morning and afternoon timeslots, so it is not possible to get an exact number for the 11-3 time frame.
- In-car commercial radio listening rose 7% year-on-year to reach 10.4 million Australians weekly.
- Commercial radio breakfast shows around the country have seen YOY audience growth, now reaching a total of 8.9 million weekly listeners across the 5 metro markets.
The survey was conducted by GfK for Commercial Radio Australia between Sun Feb 9 to Sat Mar 1 & Sun Mar 9 to Sat Apr 12, 2025.
