Industry veteran Rod Maldon has joined West Coast Radio as Drive announcer for 97.3 Coast FM and Music Director for 91.7 The Wave in Mandurah.

Rod is a familiar name in Australian commercial radio, having spent more than 30 years in the industry, including stints in New Zealand and Dubai.

Maldon – the former Assistant Content Director at 92.5 Triple M Gold – said:

“It’s an absolute honour to be working for two stations that have so much talent working on them. I am pumped to be here.”

West Coast Radio Group Content Director, Broadcast & Digital, Nick Morgan, said:

“We are absolutely delighted to have someone the calibre of Rod Maldon onboard at West Coast Radio. Rod’s experience and track record speaks for itself.”

Maldon’s appointment follows the recent decision by Paul Voight to call time on his Drive time radio show.

Maldon will commence on-air on Monday February 16.
