Southern Cross Media Group Limited (SCA) have decided that the proposed offer from Australian Community Media (ACM) last month, for SCA to acquire certain of their assets to bolster their strategy and position, is not in the best interests of their shareholders.

SCA have perhaps left the door open for a future approach by ACM or a different organisation saying ACM’s digital and regional capabilities did have appeal but did not align enough with SCA’s audio-focused strategy.
