Seb Costello leaving Triple M

Triple M newsreader Seb Costello has decided to finish-up at Triple M with the rest of the Hot Breakfast team.

Their last show will be tomorrow morning, Friday 27 November.

Costello’s recent appointment as a senior reporter on A Current Affair means that will become his main focus.

He will be taking a break from his radio career, which started at SYN while he was still a student. After that, in 2007, he got a job at MAX FM Taree, then headed back home to Melbourne and joined Triple M. We profiled him when he joined in 2015. After winning a Victoria Press Club Quill Award in 2017, he did a stont as a tv foreign correspondent, then returned to Triple M in 2018.

Seb has told radioinfo:

“It seems the right time to finish up with Eddie and Darce, who have both been amazing supporters. I’m so proud of the way we’ve brought a hard-news edge to FM Breakfast. But the Hot Breakfast Family – the audience – have been the stars and I will miss them dearly.”

His departure will be revealed on air tomorrow morning.
