smoothfm will be counting down listeners most requested and most played songs in the annual Top 500 smooth Favourites Countdown. 

Starting on Thursday week, 22 January, and culminating on Australia Day (Sunday 26 January) smoothfm will play 500 songs determined entirely by its listeners. 

Ed Sheeran, Spandau Ballet’s Tony Hadley, Human Nature and Jason Mraz in addition to smoothfm’s own announcers will all assist in counting down the final 100 songs on Australia Day. 

Peter Clay, smoothfm’s Program Director says “The smooth Favourites Countdown is always so popular with listeners and we’re equally as excited to bring it back for 2015, it’s the perfect start to the year.” 

As a clue to what smoothfm listeners are thinking, here’s the Top 10 songs from last year’s countdown:
