The NEMBC conference gets underway at the end of May in Melbourne

The NEMBC National Conference will be held from May 27th to 29th at the Pullman on the Park in Melbourne.

The theme for this year’s conference is ‘Coming Together’, where attendees will get the chance to meet face to face, network, trade stories of survival and resilience after two years of the global pandemic.

The COVID-19 recovery will be one of the main themes for this year’s conference, with the ethnic broadcasting sector expected to examine weaknesses and strengths highlighted by the pandemic, as well as how members individually and collectively responded to the pandemic, how they overcame its challenges and where to from here?

The ‘Growth of News in the Sector’ will feature NEMBC and CBAA presentations. One of the strengths of the NEMBC was the creation and development of the Multilingual News Service.

Other workshop sessions will include CBF Grants, and the NEMBC will present and explain the new Company Constitution to be voted on at the AGM on Sunday
