Podcast production house MIK MADE‘s latest video podcast Almost Home seeks to uncover the many meanings of ‘home’. From designing bespoke houses and beautiful homeware to flexing his keen judgement on The Block, interior designer Darren Palmer brings his expert insights and warm personality to what makes a house a home.
Released as weekly audio and video podcasts, Darren checks in with some of the country’s most beloved names in design and entertainment including Myf Warhurst, Ally Langdon, interior stylist Steve Cordony, surfboard designer Hayden Cox and even The Block host and television personality Scotty Cam.
Darren said:
“I’m sharing more of me than I have ever shared before, whilst also learning more about some of the people I love and admire. In this podcast, I come judgement-free, curious about how my guests live their lives, and excited to find out what makes home home for them.”
Head of Content and Podcast Executive Producer at MIK Studio Amelia Chappelow added:
“Beyond powerful storytelling, this project sets a new standard for video podcast production in Australia. Thanks to an incredible team of producers, directors of photography, and creative designers, MIK is pushing the boundaries of what a video podcast can achieve.”
Episodes of Darren Palmer’s Almost Home are released every Tuesday for the next eight weeks. Listen and watch wherever you get your podcasts.
