Winter is a time we snuggle under the blanket in front of the heater. But what about those living among us that don’t have the same luxuries? If you’ve listened to the rain pouring down on the roof and wondered where those without a home are finding shelter, you’re not alone.

104.9 Star FM’s Ben and Kristie, have wondered that too. But this time they thought of doing something about it. 

Creating their very own sleep out, the guys took to the footpath for the night to raise awareness and funds for the 300 people in Albury alone who do the same every single night. 

To shed more light on the issue, Ben and Kristie did a live broadcast the following morning from the concrete patch where they slept and raised over $3,000 for the non-for-profit charity Carevan that supports the Border homeless and disadvantaged community.
