SAFM will have two new faces on breakfast from Monday November 11 when Bernie & Emma G, Bernie Vince and Emma ‘Emma G’ Georgiadis, take over the show. Vince is part of the local Triple M Rush Hour with Bernie, Blewey & Jars which was recently axed. Emma G was anchor for that program in the past and will return to her hometown of Adelaide from co-hosting The Hit Network nights program The Pulse with Seany B.
Bernie is a former Adelaide Crows and Melbourne Demons AFL player who joined Triple M as part of their footy commentary team and was regularly heard on Dead Set Legends. Emma G, who has near 2 decades in the entertainment and media industry chased a radio dream with roles including the above and as a Workday announcer on 2DayFM.
Bernie said:
“SAFM Breakfast alongside my mate Emma G, how exciting! She is a star, and I can’t wait to get started with this amazing opportunity for the both of us to build something new, even though we’ve worked together on-air for several years. We are both passionate about S.A. and having fun on the radio and I cannot wait ‘til the 11th to give you the pre-season listen to 2025!”
Emma added:
“As a passionate Adelaidean, I’m super excited to be back on the airwaves in my hometown, and on the station I listened to and loved growing up. Bern has a magnetic energy and is a legend to work with. We can’t wait to wake up with Adelaide every morning!”
And, SCA Chief Content Officer, Dave Cameron, said:
“Absolutely nothing beats a new Breakfast show that is built on genuine friendship and fun. We cannot wait for Bernie and Emma G’s amazing chemistry, which already exists in their strong relationship, to come to life on air. We would like also to thank Bec and Soda for their passion and contribution during their time on SAFM Breakfast, and wish them all the best for the future.”
The 92.9 Perth Triple M Rush Hour program with Embers & Katie, Andrew Embley and Katie Lamb, was also due to wrap up at the end of this year. Katie has already commenced on Triple M Breakfast alongside Xavier Ellis. I yesterday questioned what had happened to Michelle Anderson, Xavier’s co-host up until last Friday October 18. As it turns out Michelle had given listeners notice that week of her departure from the station. As it turns out Friday was also the last day for Triple M Perth Metro Night’s host Shaan Subra, who is off to Dubai.
You can listen to Michelle, Shaan and their team’s wrap up after their Wheelie Big fundraiser last Friday October 18 below.
