Kyle and Jackie O still the most listened to on breakfast, smooth 95.3 on top: GfK Survey 3 2024

Kyle and Jackie O are still the most listened to breakfast show in Sydney with a weekly cumulative audience of 758K, but that is only part of the picture in GfK Radio 360 Survey 3. Their KIIS 1065 stronghold dropped by 76,000, with the station down by more than 100K to fall behind smooth 95.3 Sydney and only just squeak ahead of The Fox FM in Melbourne. Radioinfo‘s cumulative charts are below.

Both Bogart Torelli and Mike Perso, on smooth Sydney and Melbourne respectively, saw more than 50K increases in cumulative listening with Jonesy and Amanda on WSFM and 2GB’s Ben Fordham also seeing significant increases in Sydney. The two other most significant losses in breakfast listening across the week were for The Fox’s Fifi, Fev and Nick in Melbourne and Nova 96.9’s Fitzy & Wippa with Kate Ritchie, both of which would have liked to have further closed the gap with K&J this survey.

A couple of other breakfast notes. Craig Reucassel on ABC Radio Sydney saw a much needed increase. The Melbourne SEN team of Gary Lyon and Tim Watson continue growing their audience and the Perth juggernaut which is Nathan, Nat and Shaun on Nova 93.7 are the most listened to breakfast show outside of Sydney and Melbourne, with Nova 93.7 the same and biting at the heels of some of the top Sydney and Melbourne stations in terms of weekly listening.

Smooth 95.3 was the most listened to station, taking no 1 from KIIS. The biggest gains for stations were for smooth Melbourne, a boost for Triple M Melbourne, perhaps on account of 2024 football seasons and 2GB. Next to KIIS’s losses, triple j Sydney saw more than a 70K decrease with significant losses in Melbourne too. Brisbane, which had the most station stability in terms of movements this survey, did see a significant drop in listening to 4BC, with some shake ups to the programming in 2024.
