The pair burst in during Ray’s 2GB Morning Show introduction.

“I’ve looked up, and out of the blue appears one of the great men of radio. Yes, I’m talking about you, John Singleton,’ says Ray. “What are you doing here?”

“You have been a loyal and decent servant of the station, and I’d rather do this privately. But we are cutting costs,” jokes Singleton. “Raymond, I’m just coming in to meet the great Alan Jones.”

So who should barge in next?

“What’s going on here!” says Alan.

Alan: “What are we doing to listeners across Australia? They deserve better than this.”

Ray: “He’s just told everyone you’re going from 5.30am to midday, and I’m getting the punt!”
