Sammy J’s Snack Pack podcast launched

Comedian, performer and ABC Melbourne Breakfast presenter Sammy J presents a new weekly catch-up podcast The Sammy J Snack Pack, featuring a tasting plate of show highlights for anytime of the day.

Sammy J veers between the absurd, the academic and the amusing, offering a bright and engaging look at the world through the eyes of a self-declared nerd. It’s super smart, highly accessible and frequently fun.

Released weekly on a Thursday afternoon, it is “an opportunity to snack on even more goodness from Sammy J.”

Sammy J is one of the ABC’s most successful metro market breakfast presenters, with 11.1% of Melbourne’s breakfast radio audience, second placed behind the 3AW breakfast show.

Episode 1: This first delectable delights include Jamila Rizvi, who reckons Beauty and the Beast romanticises Stockholm syndrome, Bill Bailey detesting online shopping and Sammy J singing a musical tribute to parents in the age of Covid. Plus, a six year old girl gets a big Bluey birthday surprise.

Episode 2: Former pollie Julie Bishop doesn’t talk to her old colleagues much, but her own Barbie doll now keeps her company. Journalist Matilda Boseley comes out swinging in favour of new media. TV chef Adam Liaw wants remote controls the size of A3 paper.
