Alex Strawny Strachan has decided to leave his role on Triple M Mid North Coast breakfast to look after his mental health. His last day was this morning, May 17.
Strawney took over breakfast from his dad Mark Strachan OAM at the start of 2023, taking a break in the November saying:
“Navigating long-term mental health challenges can be a demanding journey, and recently, it has taken a toll on my well-being. As the host of the “Mental Health Matters” podcast, I recognise the importance of prioritising my own mental health. Therefore, I want to inform you that I’m taking an extended break from the Triple M Breakfast Show to focus on regaining control of my well-being.
I deeply appreciate the support from my colleagues at Triple M and everyone who has been there for me during this challenging period. Your support means a lot to me, and I’m genuinely thankful. I’ll be back soon.”
He was the ratings leader in April’s Xtra Insights survey of Port Macquarie and a champion for charity and mental health discussion for the region.
